Q. IS THIS A FRANCHISE?
A. No - this is not a franchise. When you purchase our "business opportunity" package, you will be in business for yourself. There are no franchise fees to pay, so every dollar you earn is yours to keep.

Q. HOW WILL I FIND MY CUSTOMERS?
A. Your customers are driving up and down every roadway in every town and city. When you see a truck with damage, contact its owner. Trucks are everywhere. Delivery trucks. Hauling trucks. Construction trucks. Concrete trucks. Owner/operator trucks. Any truck that is parked, or moving, or loading anything or a fleet of trucks. They all are potential customers. Contact them for an estimate.
Q. HOW MUCH MONEY CAN I MAKE?
A. For every $100 you charge, your cost of materials will be less than $10. If you bill a job for $500, your cost should be under $50. Divide the amount you charge by the number of hours it took to complete. For instance - if you charged a customer $500 and it took you 8 hours - you made $62.50 per hour, less the cost of materials. It depends on how much you charge for how much you do, and and how long it takes you to do it. Work more - earn more. Get better - earn MORE!

Q. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO COMPLETE A TYPICAL REPAIR JOB?
A. That depends on how fast you work and how organized you are. Some jobs go quicker than others based upon the severity of the damage and the location of the damage on the truck. Or if you have to stand on a ladder to perform the work - this takes more time and has to be considered for your estimate. Or the weather can be a factor as well. If you are efficient, things go smoother, shortening repair time.

Q. CAN THIS BE DONE IN ALL KINDS OF WEATHER?
A. Generally yes. Windy conditions can be a factor. Rain and snow can definitely slowdown the progress. The best temperature is between 60 and 90 degrees F. But 40 to 60 F is possible as are temperatures above 90 F. Below 40 F is difficult. If you're indoors, maintain 65 F and provide adequate lighting and ventilation.

Q. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO LEARN FIBERGLASS REPAIR?
A. Anyone can learn this process, it is easy and enjoyable work. If you like to use tools and work around big trucks and people who operate them - this is for you. With the guidance of the training DVD and instructional manual, it won't take long at all. If  you are dedicated to start you own business - you can succeed!

Q. CAN I DO THIS BUSINESS OUT OF MY CAR?
A. Yes, however you may want to consider a vehicle with more room than less, such as a station wagon, van, or a small pick-up truck. You'll need access to your tools and materials and may want to carry a generator for electricity and an air compressor.
Q. WILL I NEED ELECTRICITY TO DO THE REPAIRS?
A. Yes. Your tools require power and you will need some extension cords and/or a generator for your power needs.
Q. WILL I NEED TO GET OTHER TOOLS OR IS THE FENDERPRO SYSTEM ALL I NEED TO GET STARTED?
A. Everything necessary to begin your fiberglass truck repair business is included with the the FENDERPRO SYSTEM. The only other things you may want to get are perhaps a generator if there is no electricity available and an air compressor. Usually people like to outfit themselves with these items as there are many choices.

Q. CAN I WORK ON ANY MATERIAL - EVEN PLASTIC?
A. This repair system is designed for all modern truck composites. Fiberglass, SMC, FRP, RTM, LMR, as well as plastic. However, "plastic," is a vague term and one  can only test the material for compatible application before attempting a repair on "any" plastic component of the truck.
Q. HOW WILL I KNOW WHAT COLOR TO USE FOR REFINISHING THE TOPCOAT?
A. Each truck has a manufacturers identification plate stating the color code used for that particular truck. Therefore, no mistake can be made as to what color to use.
Q. DOES THE FENDERPRO SYSTEM WORK FOR CARS TOO?
A. No. This is a truck fiberglass repair system. Most cars are metal based.
Q. DO I HAVE TO WEAR SPECIAL WORK CLOTHING?
A. No. Generally, long sleeve shirts and long pants are desirable to keep grinding material and liquids off bare skin. But individual preference and climate usually dictate suitable clothing worn while doing the repairs.
Q. IS THERE ANY HEAVY LIFTING INVOLVED?
A. Not usually. An occasional heavy hood can be annoying to open, mostly on cement trucks.
Q. IS THIS DANGEROUS WORK? COULD I GET INJURED?
A. Injury is always present if one is not careful and safety guidelines are not followed. Common sense must be used at all times while performing any job. Always be aware of your surroundings . It is only as dangerous as you make it to be. Be safe!
Q. CAN I DO THE REPAIRS INDOORS AND OUTDOORS?
A. Yes. Outdoors providing the weather cooperates and indoors providing there is adequate ventilation and lighting.
Q. WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE WILL HIRE ME TO DO THIS KIND OF WORK?
A. Truck owners, fleet owners, owner/operators, maintenance managers, contractors, or anyone who owns a truck,  or operates a trucking business.
Q. IS THE WORK MESSY? DOES IT CREATE A LOT OF DUST?
A. It can be. If you are neat and orderly, the dust can be minimized and managed. If you are sloppy and don't clean up your work area, then expect a fair amount of dust buildup and liquid spillage. You'll want to be tidy and not waste products.
Q. CAN I WORK ON MORE THAN ONE TRUCK AT A TIME?
A. You can work on multiple trucks simultaneously. As long as they are in the same general area, you can proceed from one to another and back again. This saves time and energy, and increases your profit. Efficient use of your time is rewarded.
Q. CAN I FIND ENOUGH WORK IN A SMALL TOWN OR WILL I HAVE TO GO TO A LARGER CITY?
A. Trucks can get damaged anywhere. If you are diligent, there can be plenty of work even in small towns. Farms use trucks and delivery trucks are necessary as well. However - larger cities offer more opportunity and diversity when it comes to trucks.

Q. WHERE CAN I GET REFILL SUPPLIES WHEN I RUN OUT?
A. Everything sold with the Fenderpro System can be refilled and/or replaced from Fenderpro. Order it online or call 1-800-577-2204. In addition, any item can be replaced from an outside source if you desire, however quality cannot be certain.

Q. CAN I WORK AT MY OWN PACE, OR IS REPAIR TIME A FACTOR?
A. You will need to follow product instructions and be prudent with time as many materials used in fiberglass repair have cure deadlines and often, time is of the essence. Once a procedure has been initiated, interruption can impair success.
Q. WILL I NEED TO HIRE EMPLOYEES OR CAN I DO THE REPAIR MYSELF?
A. No need for employees unless your business increases and you can't handle the workload . This business can be operated alone or with helpers. It's up to you.
Q. CAN I DO THIS OUT OF MY HOME OR WILL I NEED A SHOP?
A. Mobile fiberglass truck repair is successful because it is a mobile business. You bring your service to your customer - which is why it is so successful. Truck owners don't want to have to take the truck in to a shop to have a crack fixed on the hood or fender when they have found someone who will come to them instead. They make money with that truck and the less time it's in a shop - the better. If you already have a shop where you repair trucks, this is the perfect add-on business to increase revenue and provide a convenience to your existing customers.
Q. WILL I NEED A COMPUTER OR SPECIAL OFFICE EQUIPMENT?
A. This business does not require a computer or any office equipment in order to be successful. However, a computer is handy to manage your customer information and other related pertinent data you find important. A telephone and note pad can also suffice adequately for your mobile fiberglass truck repair business.
Q. CAN I DO THIS KIND OF WORK AT NIGHT?
A. Only if there is adequate lighting and the temperature is sufficient. You need to be able to see what you are doing. Daylight is superior for getting the job done.
Q. IS THIS BETTER THAN A BODY SHOP. WHY WOULD ANYONE HIRE ME?
A. Your service is as good or better than a body shop. Not only are your performing to "body shop" standards, you're bringing the shop to your customer, which is exactly what your customer prefers. Truck owners hate down time, and body  shops tie their truck up for weeks. Large repair facilities prefer collision type repairs. That is where their huge revenue is made. Many will turn away smaller fender bender jobs because it's not cost effective for them. If you can keep a truck out of a shop, you become a valuable asset to the truck owner. He will have you repair the small stuff, and only take it into a shop for a major collision. However, if that truck is headed for the shop for other related repairs, he may have them handle it while it's there. Negotiate a price - he may save it for you!

Q. DO I NEED EXPERIENCE? CAN I LEARN THIS IN COLLEGE?
A. Anyone can learn to do fiberglass truck repair. All you need is the FENDERPRO FIBERGLASS TRUCK REPAIR SYSTEM and you will get good results the first time. You can't learn fiberglass truck repair in college or even a trade school. When most body shops find a good "glass man," they usually hold on to him. That means there are next to none out in the field doing this kind of work. Look around. You won't find many mobile services specializing in fiberglass truck repair. You stand out when you do something no one else is doing. When you start your fiberglass truck repair business, your experience will be in demand.
